TAMBOHO is a platform that connects people through "labor for learning" education. Helpers can discover new skills while Hosts receive assistance on their projects. TAMBOHO itself does not organize or supervise projects and is not a party to any agreements made between Hosts and Helpers.

Hosts and Helpers engaging in activities on TAMBOHO are expected to follow the provisions below (in addition to TAMBOHO's Terms of Use):

RESPECT OTHERS

TAMBOHO brings together people of different cultures, lifestyles and ideals. By joining our community, you agree to communicate with respect and consideration, even when you disagree.

SAFETY FIRST

Hosts are solely responsible for ensuring their projects are safe and comply with applicable laws and regulations. Hosts must inform Helpers about any known risks and provide appropriate protective equipment (e.g., safety shoes, hard hat, goggles, gloves). Helpers must use such equipment responsibly and return it at the end of their stay.

WORKING ON A PROJECT IS A PRIVILEGE

Hosts have full discretion to decide who they accept on their projects.

FOLLOW HOST INSTRUCTIONS

To ensure projects run smoothly, Helpers should follow reasonable instructions given by Hosts. If a task feels unsuitable, Helpers are encouraged to discuss alternatives with the Host.

FLEXIBILITY

The length of a Helper’s stay should be agreed upon in advance. Helpers may leave a project at any time if circumstances require. Similarly, a Host may ask a Helper to leave earlier if these Guidelines or the Terms of Use are not respected.

LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

Helpers participate primarily to learn. Hosts must understand that Helpers are not professionals and should only assign tasks appropriate to their skills. Except in cases of deliberate misconduct, Helpers should not be held responsible for defects or delays arising from their participation.

GOOD FOOD, GOOD MOOD

TAMBOHO encourages Hosts to provide meals and accommodation when possible. Helpers should confirm directly with Hosts what is included before joining a project.

FEES AND CONTRIBUTIONS

While many projects follow a "labor for learning" approach with no money exchanged, some Hosts may request a fee or contribution from Helpers. This may cover participation in workshops, project costs, meals, accommodation, or other related expenses. Any such fees are set at the sole discretion of the Host and must be clearly communicated and agreed upon between Host and Helper before participation. TAMBOHO does not determine, manage, or guarantee these arrangements.

CHECK LOCAL LAWS

Volunteering rules vary by country. Hosts are responsible for ensuring compliance with local laws, including any requirements related to tax, insurance, labor, and visas. Hosts and Helpers are encouraged to seek legal advice where necessary.

REPORT VIOLATIONS

If you believe another user is violating these Guidelines or the Terms of Use, please contact us at tambohostudio@gmail.com.

LIABILITY DISCLAIMER

As stated in the Terms of Use, TAMBOHO does not provide liability insurance and is not responsible for the safety, conduct, financial arrangements, or activities of Hosts or Helpers. All participation is voluntary and at your own risk.

By using the platform, you acknowledge that TAMBOHO is not liable for any claims, damages, losses, or injuries — including disputes related to fees or contributions — arising out of or related to activities arranged between Hosts and Helpers. Responsibility for agreements, payments, safety, and compliance rests entirely with the individuals involved.
